Consultation has concluded


The City of Mandurah is developing a District Open Space in Lakelands to provide sport and recreation facilities for community sporting groups and the wider community.

The Lakelands District Open Space is a $7.9 million project over a 10 hectare site on the corner of Mandurah Road and Banksiadale Gate in Lakelands.

The Project will include the delivery of:

  • 3 Active Reserves
  • District Level Clubroom Facility (Kitchen, meeting room, function space and toilets)
  • Toilets / Change rooms
  • Sports Flood Lighting
  • Parking
  • Recreation Precinct (Subject to future funding)
  • Playground (Subject to future funding)

Update August 2021:

Project construction is almost complete with only some remaining sporting infrastructure such as sports flood lights, diamond sport nets and AFL Dug-outs to go in.

The Clubrooms are now open and available for hire by sporting clubs and community groups.
