Warrungup Springs Boardwalk Replacement

Thank you for providing feedback on the replacement of the Warrungup Springs boardwalk.

You have told us that you would like to see the boardwalk retained in its current position, along with the addition of seating for those who want to relax and enjoy the view along the way. The new boardwalk will follow the same structure as the current boardwalk with a few minor changes to the design:

1. It will be slightly wider to accommodate 2 people side by side
2. The balustrade will be moved to the other side of the boardwalk to provide uninterrupted views
3. Seating will be added to rest along the way

Both male and female Bindjareb Elders have been consulted on this boardwalk replacement and we are committed to respecting the history of the site when the replacement work begins.

This is expected to begin early in the 24/25 financial year.

The City is planning a replacement of the Warrungup Springs boardwalk. These works are needed to improve the safety of the boardwalk but are also an opportunity to improve the accessibility and usability of the space.

The replacement of this boardwalk is part of our annual boardwalk renewal program to replace boardwalks across the city to maintain or improve our places and spaces.
